Q. Are such and such dates available?
A. Go to the Reservations Page and click on "view availability." This will hot link you to the availability calendar. If the dates you want are in red, they are not available.
Q. I want to make a reservation, what do I need to do?
A. Follow the instructions on the Reservation Page.
Q. How far is Estrella del Mar from the beach?
A. About 12 blocks. We usually ride our bicycles down to the beach and it takes about 8-10 minutes. On the other hand, it takes only a few minutes to drive down and park.
Q. Is Estrella del Mar in a safe area?
A. Yes. People who rent closer to the beach have to deal with issues like crowds, noise and security. However, Crestmoore Place is a quiet street with neighbors who have lived there for years, sometimes decades. They are friendly and helpful, qualities less common in the neighborhoods closer to the ocean. We chose this location because we have young grandchildren who visit frequently.
Q. What is the street address of Estrella del Mar?
A. For security, we don't generally make it available. If you are serious about renting, Jim will give you the exact address.
Q. Can we rent Estrella del Mar for less than a week?
A. Yes, depending on availability. Call to discuss.
Q. Can we bring a pet?
A. It depends. Let’s discuss. Our concerns are simple: damage, mess, and disturbing the neighbors. If your pet will not cause any of these problems, the answer is probably yes. There will, however, be a pet deposit just in case.
Q. What’s there to do in Venice?

Q. What’s there to do one mile south in Marina del Rey?

Q. What’s there to do three miles north in Santa Monica?
A. Santa Monica is about five minutes north of Estrella del Mar where you can experience the activities on and near the pier, the street performers and trendy, upscale stores on the 3 rd Street Promenade, and hike in the Santa Monica Mountain Park.
